Being committed to lessening the negative emotional and social consequences of disability is a noble goal. Altruistic students majoring in disability studies may struggle under the burden of rising collegiate tuition though. Disability studies degrees in the United States are primarily found at private, nonprofit institutions where costs are higher. For example, Syracuse University charges $33,312 yearly on average for its M.S.Ed and Ph.D. in Disability Studies. Scholarships, along with fellowships and grants, are extremely helpful to lower costs without building insurmountable debt. Consider these scholarships for disability studies that generously support tomorrow’s social justice pioneers.
